The latest addition to our bolting product line is finally here!  We’ve added a number of great tools and functionality, as well as “revved up our engine” with our new electronic platform!  Should be a great additional to the bolting line…

We’ve recently posted our DFX-7 Series Flaw Detector applet on our website for your review, demonstration, and classroom instruction. This is a fantastic way to get acquainted with our DFX flaw detector models while working in conjunction with the manuals. Additionally, it’s a great classroom device for your overhead projector and instruction. Keep in mind that both of our flaw series gauges, DFX-7 & DFX-8 series, have similar GUI’s in order to make it easy and convenient for inspection companies to have a combination of both models, and feel comfortable selecting a model based on the current job/contract for the day, week, or month. If the current contract job is rope access work, requiring portability, then perhaps the DFX-7 is a great option. If you’re working at ground level and prefer the larger display and added benefits, then consider the DFX-8 series. Nevertheless, if your comfortable operating either of the gauges/models, you’ll equally be comfortable operating the other…as was intended and designed.

The applet will provide you with a great “walk through” of what’s included in both of our flaw series gauges. There are ‘zero’ toolkit or feature upgrades associated with either series. Both series are “all inclusive”, zero upgrade costs, PC software, and all future gauge firmware upgrades free of charge! “what you see is what you get”! It’s also a great reminder to mention that we’ve included our best A-Scan thickness gauge in both our flaw detector series platforms as well! The PVX-B is similar in features to our PVX A/B Scope, but without the A-Scan scope portion of the gauge. It was developed to fill a gap between the standard PX-7 and PVX series gauges. The primary advantage of the PVX-B over the PX series gauges is the large alpha numeric data logger, ability to use delay line, contact, and pencil style transducers, without the complexity of operating a scope. Use our DakView4 utility software for bi-directional file transfer of data and custom setup files. Contact us if you have any questions!

We’re scheduled to release our “+” addition to our 8 series flaw detectors the first part of August. Primary advantages over the DFX-8 are as follows:

High voltage tone burst pulser:

400 volts electrically…but 8 dB more output than a basic square wave pulser at the same voltage, as it’s tuned to the resonant frequency of the transducer.

Wave Averaging:

Improved clarity of the waveform resolution, very useful when zoomed in on small ranges.

High Speed Analog Outputs (proportional outputs):

System integration to control external devices. Optional amplitude or distance settings.

Remote Commander:

System integration. Control the DFX-8+ from your PC.

Additional Narrow Band Filters:

0.5 & 15 MHz

Auto Interface Gate (immersion):

Automatic gating for tracking changes in water path distance.
